Privacy

This site is deliberately small. It sets no cookies, embeds no fonts, videos or analytics from third parties and processes no form input. There is one exception: the map on the Directions page, see below.

Server log files

When you open this website, the hosting provider automatically records information transmitted by your browser: browser type and version, operating system, the page requested, date and time of access, and the IP address. This data is technically necessary in order to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in trouble-free operation. This data is not merged with other sources.

Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open the site, the access data described above is processed on GitHub servers, and a transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information can be found in GitHub’s privacy statement at docs.github.com.

Fonts and images

All fonts and all images are served from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other third-party provider.

The menu is taken from Gasthof Spessartruh when this website is built and is delivered as an image from this site. Viewing the menu does not create a connection to any external server.

Map on the Directions page

The Directions page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap. It only loads once it scrolls into view. Doing so transmits your IP address to the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom, because a browser cannot load a file without requesting it.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing you where the inn is (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No other page of this website loads the map. The OpenStreetMap privacy policy is at https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

This site links to spessartruh-steiger.de and to stengersfruchterlebnis.de. Data is only transmitted to those providers once you click such a link. Their own privacy policies then apply.

Photographs

The images on this site show the Bembelgarten during normal operation. They are pictures of a gathering of people within the meaning of § 23 (1) no. 3 of the German Art Copyright Act (KunstUrhG). If you appear in a photograph and do not wish to, a short message to info@spessartruh-steiger.de is enough and we will remove or replace the image immediately.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information about the personal data stored about you, its origin and recipients and the purpose of processing (Art. 15 GDPR), and rights to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You also have a right to object under Art. 21 GDPR and a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
